S275JR (Basic Structural Steel)
Structural Steel
S275JR -- the basic, most economical structural steel between S235 and S355. Re>=275 MPa, room-temperature impact only. For general fabrication, machine frames and light-to-medium structural steelwork where cold-climate toughness is not a design driver.

Applications
General Fabrication: Machine frames, brackets and general steelwork.
Indoor Structures: Indoor structural steelwork not requiring cold-climate toughness guarantee.
Light-Medium Structures: General construction elements between S235 and S355 strength requirements.
Notes
S275JR position: S235JR: Re 235 MPa, most basic/cheapest. S275JR: Re 275 MPa, ~17% stronger, similar cost and weldability. S355JR: Re 355 MPa, the workhorse for most serious structural work. S275 sees less use than S235 or S355 -- often the design either accepts S235 economy or steps straight to S355 strength.
