CuBe1.7 (C17300) — lower beryllium variant offering good combination of strength and electrical conductivity. For connectors requiring both spring properties and current-carrying capacity.
CuBe1.7 per ASTM B197 (C17300 / RWMA Class 4). Lower Be (1.6-1.8%) vs CuBe2 gives better electrical conductivity (20-28% IACS vs 15-22%) with slightly lower strength. Better for electrical applications where current carrying capacity matters alongside spring properties. Used for high-performance relay springs, precision measurement probes and semiconductor test sockets.
