CuSn12 — high-tin phosphor bronze. Excellent wear and corrosion resistance. For heavily loaded plain bearings, worm gear wheels, pump bushings and marine stern tube bearings.
CuSn12 per EN 1982 (CC484K, cast) / EN 1652 (CW458K, wrought). 12% Sn gives outstanding wear resistance and load capacity. Excellent resistance to seawater, steam and dilute acids. Standard for heavily loaded slow-speed plain bearings, worm gear wheels in lifting equipment and marine stern tube bearing bushings where lower-tin bronzes are insufficient.
