Ti-3Al-2.5V (ASTM Grade 9 / AMS 4943) per ASTM B338. Near-alpha alloy with half the beta content of Ti-6Al-4V — excellent cold-forming (tubing drawn to thin walls) combined with Rm 620 MPa. Standard for aircraft hydraulic brake tubing (lighter than steel, corrosion-proof), high-performance bicycle frames and medical endoscope tubing. Dominant titanium alloy for aerospace hydraulic systems.
